Ron’s Background.
After earning my BBA in Finance from Texas State University, I went on to earn two advanced degrees from The University of Dallas: an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance and an MS in Accounting with a minor in Economics. I retired from the United States Army Reserve in 2016 after 30 years of service, earning the Meritorious Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster (2nd award), and induction into the Order of Saint Barbara, a military honor society for lifetime contributions to the Field Artillery. For 18 of those years, I served as a Basic Training Instructor at Ft. Sill, Ft. Dix, and Ft. Jackson.

Ron's Family.
My wife and I arrived in Argyle nine years ago and have been proud to call it home ever since.
Michelle and I have been married for over 21 years, and we have a son who is a junior in high school. He participates in track and runs the 200m and other sprints, just like I did in my high school days. I enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community.
Ron’s Experience.
I am a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Financial Manager. I spent over 25 years working in industry as Controller and CFO, and finally as business owner of a manufacturing company. For the past 17 years, I have been a full-time Professor at a local college, teaching Accounting, Finance, and Business. I was program chair for 12 of those years and have taught Accounting at most universities in the metroplex, including graduate courses.
I have served on the last 3 Argyle ISD Bond Advisory Committees. I also serve as a board member and treasurer of an education foundation, and assist other community associations like Keep Argyle Beautiful and Argyle Business Association.
